Biological waste treatment in Amari, Crete, Greece

We have prepared the complete engineering for the biological waste treatment (anaerobic digestion and composting) at Amari, Crete. This plant will treat the organic fraction of municipal solid waste and biowaste from source separated collection. Two dry digesters handle the different waste fractions separate to produce biogas for electricity and heat generation. The digestate from the anaerobic digestion process is stabilized in a forced aerated closed tunnel composting plant. Air from the composting plant as from the buildings is treated in a biofilter. Currently, we support our customer in the commissioning of the plant.
